During any given year there are thousands of horse races run in the US. Therefore, it would be better to ask which horse races are part of the Triple Crown. Those races are the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes, and the Belmont Stakes.
Dubai hosts the Dubai world cup series of races, and the top race of the meet is the Dubai World Cup, it has a grand prize of ten million dollars (US dollars). The first place horse get six million dollars for winning.
I believe two of them are the marwari horse and the akhal-teke horse. Fjord ponies and icelandic horses might be in the top 5 as well...

I think they test horses because its good for them to run. It is good for us to run because it keeps us thin and not over weight. If you want to be healthy you must have a healthy and varied diet.
The horse must be a registered thoroughbred that is in the General Studbook and have won a set amount of graded stakes money in other races prior to the Kentucky derby. You cannot just go register a horse to be in the race no matter where it was born.
