Yes. He started his minor league career with Idaho Falls of the Pioneer League in 1982. In 1983 he played with Madison (Midwest League) and Medford (Northwest League) in Class A ball. In 1984, he was with Modesto in Class A ball and led the California League in HRs and RBIs. In 1985, he started the season with the Huntsville Stars (Class AA) of the Southern League, where he hit .318 with 25 HRs, and was promoted to Tacoma of the Pacific Coast League (Class AAA) at midseason. He hit .348 with Tacoma with 11 HRs. He was named the Minor League Player of the Year by Baseball American in 1985. Towards the end of his career, he played with Pawtucket of the International League in 1995 and 1996 and Charlotte of the International League in 2002.
