A first great recommendation for a slow pitch softball bat would be an older Easton model SCX23. Easton bats are very high quality, but they are expensive and harder to find than other bats. Other high quality bats are the Miken and Worth bats. In particular the Worth Resmondo Titan is a great bat, and its cost is around $225. Another option would be Combat. These bats are expensive; however, they are worth the money. A less costly option would be the Demarini Ultimate Weapon; it costs $60. It is a decent bat, but it is easily bent. Another option would be the Anderson Pyrotech.
Slowpitch Softball is played using a high-arc pitching technique where the ball slowly falls into the strike-zone. Slowpitch speeds range from 25mph-35mph. Fastpitch Softball a windmill pitching technique is used that increases that speed of the pitch significantly and allows the pitcher to throw different kinds of pitches like drop, rise, curve, screw, and change. Fastpitch speed range from usually 50mph-65mph. The rules are basically the same, minus some variations in batting. In slow pitch if you foul off the third strike you are out. In fastpitch the strike is not called until you swing with no contact with the ball. Both require different equipment. EX:A fastpitch bat is different from a slowpitch bat. Slow Pitch...the coach pitches it and fast pitch....one of the teammates pitches it! :)

Depends on your league. Generally at least 10 are allowed, 1 for each defensive position (4 outfielders in slowpitch softball). Some leagues allow 1 or 2 extra batters that function similar to a designated hitter but they do not hit for a defensive player, they are just an extra hitter in the lineup. They are usually allowed so that more people can play. One is allowed in open or unisex leagues and two are allowed in coed leagues so that the number of men and women are equal.
There are several online websites that sell training videos for softball pitchers. Youtube also offers some good softball training videos.
