Speed demons got their start with bearings. That's what they know best. Real has been a manufacturer of decks for a long time. Likewise, Independent makes good trucks, or you could go with Rob Dyrdek's Orion trucks. Nowadays, almost all brands are made equally depending on what your preference is. Some people like a little extra spring in their boards, and others want them as stiff as possible. Your skating style/genre definitely decides what you should buy. If you like street skating, choose a light deck that's easy to flip with hard silicone wheels around 52mm. If you like cruising across town, a long board with Kryptonic wheels may be more suitable. So in short, while Speed Demons may have crossed over into making boards as well, they are a bearing brand that knows their stuff. They have made wheels as well and while they are a brand that has been around for a long time, they have experience and knowledge in crafting and engineering a superior product.
