With statistics not being vigilantly kept in the 1920s as they are today, it is difficult to determine the real answer. Historical/stats references show Marshall starting 2 games in 1925 and Nesser starting 1 game in 1921 but do not specify which games they were. With the men being born one month apart (Marshall on March 12, 1880 and Nesser on April 25, 1876) it cannot be determined which man was older when he started.
