My son is a left tackle. I noticed the defensive end in the game was line up about 5 yards off the line of scrimidge. He gained a running a start at the LT is this legal It is Middle school.?

yes, the defense is allowed to move even after the cadence starts the offensive line, however, must remain set and unmoving when the QB says "down" any motion from them and it will be an offsides penalty linebackers also often use a running start on blitzes for more power and speed
