∙ 2008-12-11 04:38:26That's a good question. Gymnastics has all those back flips, but skating has spins. Gymnastics takes more flexibility, but guess what? It hurts getting back up after falling on the cold, hard ice. I think Gymnastics is more natural talent and figure skating is more practice. This is a matter of opinion, not fact, and I'm a figure skater, so sorry if this answer seems biased.
Yes ice skating is a popular sport around the world and its becomming more and more popular.
I don't know really know because its up yo you not me. If you try both of them over the summer you can se which one is harder. For me it is figure skating because i havn't done figure skating in a while so I know more Gymnastics mostly because i am really athletic and flexable.
Figure skating is a type of ice skating. It's like asking "Is a Ferrari more popular than a car?" A Ferrari is a type of car. Ice skating includes figure skating, speed skating, ice dancing, ice hockey, any type of activity where you move across the ice on skates. So, ice skating would have more participants because it includes more activities than just figure skating.
There are many popular Figure Skating movements, you can see them on figure skating contests and others Some include the Triple Axel, for pairs, the Carries and Throws. (Add more when possible)
Most people call it figure skating, but figure skating can be referred to as the more vauge term, ice skating.
Well, that's a very oppinionated question. I'd say gymnastics. I've done both, and I've gotten kinda to a higher level with both. I've gotten more injuries doing gymnastics than probably ever.
