sort but once i get us to it it is
~ it depends on what u have to do. at my school we had to do the cheer and dance we learned and they looked at our motion and enthusiasm and tumbling. so it just depends on if u know the cheer and/or dance they teach u and if ur motions and enthusiam is good...but not always do they look at your tumbling.
It depends who you are cheering for.
In the 1960's.
If you don't own any cheerleading shoes, usually any shoe store that sells Nike or Adidas has them!(: But, if you can't get cheer shoes by tryout time, try a white tennis shoe that is flat on the bottom and grips well to the floor. This will help with your cheerleading jumps! Hope I helped:) Cheerdancelove16
Practice your facials, practice the cheer (rythm, timing, loudness), practice the routine, practice your jumps
Absolutely. In tryouts, the coaches look for gymnastic skills. Besides dance skills.
yes, I do. Even though it is a small school and only about 14 girls tryout for it, you still have to. Our Squad is only 8, at least for football cheerleading. Our basket ball is 3 right now and westling is 6 with 2 alternates.
In the beginning of The Accidental Cheerleader Kylie (the outgoing one)signs herself and her shy bff Sophie for cheerleading tryouts.Sophie won't tryout but her crush Joel convinces her to tryout with Kylie.During their tryout Kylie messes up.Kylie becomes the school mascot which is a mule while Sophie is a cheerleader. Partly, gymnastics is alot more graceful while cheer is more sharp and quick. Gymnastics could help tumbling and flexibility. But do not take the style from gymnastics and try it with cheerleading because gymnastics has more graceful and "pretty- looking" skills. So, if you only took the tumbling and the flexibility ( for jumps ONLY) then yes it could help alot with your cheer tryout.
For a cheer tryout it is best that you include the following... * Hair pulled back in a ponytail above your ears (unless you hair is really short) * All hair out of your face * Wear shorts * Wear a t-shirt or tank top (one that's presentable * Wear athletics shoes that are for cheerleading * have a water bottle handy * Do Not wear ANY kind a jewelry all of these things will help you be presentable
No. It doesn't matter what your race is! The only thing a coach or tryout judge cares about is if you meet the requirements. If they want you to have a standing tuck and you don't... sorry about your luck, try again next year!
if cheerleading were easy, it would be called football!
