I named the band "Floyd Patterson Band" because Floyd Patterson II is my name. Just as if my name happened to be "Joe Smith".I would ve then named it the Joe Smith Band. It has over the years brought lots of inquiries as well as name "rip off" allegations. But nonetheless I can name my band anything I want just like anyone else. And yes Iam the son of former heavyweight boxing champ Floyd Patterson.
