I'm a competitive cheerleader i'm a flyer and I can tell you that its not scary like you think its really fun but you have to trust your team that they will catch you because once I feel and it hurt but after a few days I was right back on my feet doing what I love and was born to do.

∙ 11y agoWhen you begin it can be really scary, but once you get used to it, its really fun. As long as you and your stunt group follow instructions, you will be fine. Plus you need to trust your bases, back spotter and front spotter (if you have a front). If you dont trust ur stunt group, then it will seem more stressful. Im a cheerleader myself, i am also a flyer. I cheer for North Star All-Stars in Rome, NY :) good luck!! :)

Being anything in cheerleading is a good thing. You are privileged to be doing cheer as a sport because it takes a lot of hard work and determination to be anything in cheer. Being a flyer, everything is put on you to make all the stunts look really pretty by keeping a tight shape and locking out your knees and arms. Being a flyer you don't have to do a lot of the work just the icing on the top. Without the flyer there would be no stunt.
