A pitched Baseball that hits the ground is a live ball, therefore you may swing at it. If you miss, it is a strike. If you hit it foul, it is a foul ball. If you hit it fair, whatever play results is legal.

A ground ball is when a player picks the ball up from the ground. The ball is often dropped and ground ball pickups are a vital skill to have. A ball thrown and intercepted by the opposing team is also considered a ground ball for the person intercepting the pass.

A fly ball that is caught is an out. For a ground ball, the fielder must field the ball and then make a throw to a base or tag a runner who is off his base to try and get the out.
An aerial ball is when the ball goes into the air (a couple of feet off teh ground).
first off it's ricochet. secondly: the ball will ricochet off of the ground.
Yes
A chunk, or people may say you caught it fat, or if it bounces off the ground then the club hits the ball it is known as a drop kick.
What happens is the ball deforms which then flattens then returns to its normal shape which then makes it bounce. As for what happens rules-wise when the ball hits the ground, not a lot. The ball is on the ground for a fair portion of the game, which can lead to heavy contact when players vie for control of the ball.
Because bullets are deadly!
Yes. They would be out. Think of it like this. If a runner is running home from third and the catcher slides onto the plate with the ball, the runner is still out, even though the catcher is on the ground. As long as the Defensive player has possession of the ball, and is touching the base, the offensive player would be considered out.
The top of the trailer hitch ball should be aprox 18 to 20 inches off the ground.
