nhl 2k9 is for the wii but that only helps if you have one. it is also on other systems. nhl09 is better because it has be a pro mode. in be a pro you start in the ahl and play to advance to the nhl to be a star like sydney Crosby and ovechkin
As of right now, they are not publishing anymore NHL 2K games, but they will continue MLB and NBA, but they don't know how long those will last.

2K Sports has given many signals that this game will mark the end of the MLB 2K series. The game was left off the list of games for 2K's 2013 fiscal year, which was the same way they signaled the end of the NHL 2K series and the College Hoops series. [6] A Take Two spokesman commented,"Our legacy Major League Baseball agreement will sunset in fiscal 2013. MLB 2K12 is our last offering under that agreement. At this time, we have no further comment." [7]

2k Sports has released their annual hockey game every year for the Wii since 2009: NHL 2k9, 2k10, and 2k11. EA's last NHL mainstream game that was released on the Wii is NHL 09, but have since then created a motion-based version, NHL Slapshot, alongside the release of NHL 11 on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
I can only remember Olaf Kolzig , the Washington goalie in the late '90s early 2k's that was born in South Africa but grew in Germany
