Forward of the ball carrier
In open play the ball may only be passed from the hand directly in alignment with the passing player to the receiver or behind the player passing the ball to the receiving player.
In a line out the ball must travel down the centre of the gap between the two teams. If the ball is thrown more to the throwers own team the referee will blow his whistle and a penalty is awarded for not straight.
A cold or illness can be caught, but it cannot be thrown like a ball or object.

rugby league you have the 5 tackel rule (which means your team can only get takled 5 times befour passing the ball to the other team). in under 11 you have no scrums. you can not pass forwards. you have to have the ball in two hands at all times. you cant hit the ball out of other peopols hands. if your in a maul for more than 5 seconds it counts as a takel. (all to gether rugby union is better
you cant pass the ball forward- 13 positions are the same (league does not have flankers - wing forwards) passing back only knock on offenses trys drop goals penalty goals kick off

If he is fielding a batted ball -- then no the runner cant run into him or it will be "Runner Interference" -- if the SS is catching a thrown ball at a base then the runner has the right to "run over" the SS if it is in an attempt to reach the base or continue running to the next base
