Red and Black
Tennis is definitely the most popular. There are differences between all the racquet sports.
No, I have never received a red card in a game of table tennis.

No, players cannot receive a red card in table tennis for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Yes, as long as it conforms to the rules of the Table Tennis Association.

Table tennis is a game that requires two people or more to hit a small ball back and forth and where you can have fun while exercising at the same time. You will need special equipment whether you are going to play just for the fun of it or take it more seriously. Here are some suggestions to help you choose your new table tennis equipment. Step 1: Choose a table: A big decision to make is whether to leave the table up or fold it away when you are not playing. If you are going to be putting it up and down a lot you will definitely want a table that folds, is easily set up and that can be handled by just one person. Even if you are going to leave it up all the time wheels with brakes on them are a wonderful idea. If you are playing for fun a table with a 3/4” top works great if you are more serious about competing then a table with a 1” thick top would be better. Make sure the table has strong, sturdy legs and that it sits evenly upon the floor. The finish on the table should be smooth with no chips or rough spots. Look for a table whose net has some sort of cushioning where the grips attach to the tennis table so it won't mar the surface. Step 2: Choose a paddle: There are different names for this piece of equipment such as bat, paddle or racket. The pre-made paddle work just fine when you are playing for fun but if you are more serious about the game you might want to think about these suggestions. It can be any shape or size and any weight that you want but it has to be flat and rigid. The sides need to be covered in ITTF (International Table Tennis Federation) approved rubber. If you are going to use both sides of the paddle to hit the ball one side must be red, the other black. Get a good storage cover to store your paddle in so it will not be damaged. Step 3: Choose a table tennis ball: Purchase a six pack as you will need to replace the balls more often than you would think. The ball must weigh 2.7g and if you will be competing they must be orange or white and have a matte finish not a shiny, glossy one. Table tennis is a game that the whole family can play and enjoy. Experiment with different techniques and styles. There are many different choices for equipment you just need to decide if you will be playing for fun or going for gold. The choices of equipment are as varied as each individual who will be playing so pick what suits you best.
Receiving a red card in a table tennis match can result in penalties such as losing a point, game, or even being disqualified from the match. It is a serious offense that can impact the outcome of the game and may lead to further disciplinary action.
it is red because it is made for different types of court
The differences between the two sides of a ping pong "patel" as you refer to it ( in table tennis terms it is called a "racket") is that the same rubber can be used on both sides...or...two different types can be used. Some types of table tennis rubber are used for more spin while others are used for less spin. Either way, in official competition, one side must be red and the other side black. Red and black were chosen because they are more easily reckonized.
