Knee and Elbow pads.
Riser pads are the little plastic pads that go between your trucks and you board.what it does is the lift up the wheels so your wheels dont scrub your deck. also i think it keeps your board from snapping.
No its not required but if you are a beginning where them so you won't get hurt but once you get better you can take them off.
hip pads? what the heck?! this guy must be too old to start skateboarding! very funny! let's give him a round of a applause.
no. riser pads are hard plastic that are mainly designed to give you more pop. shock pads also give some pop, but not much. the big difference is that shock pads greatly reduce the amount of pressure cracks you'll see in the deck. if you need to make a deck last for awhile, shock pads are the way to go.
It really depends if your usually heavy on your flow but i thinks its better to take precaution and wear thick pads that are long
Because it will help prevent cracks on your longboard. It will separate the trucks and board
It all depends on the height of your riser/shock pads.
Well you could wear Knee pads helments elbow pads and maybe even gloves :P
