If the runner doesn't touch home, the umpire should not call him safe. He should not make any ruling at that point.

It depends. If the runner hit a home run, and missed third he would be sent back to second base. If the runner was on second base to start and missed third he would be out. However, even if the umpire sees a runner miss a base the runner is not penalized unless the opposing team appeals.

In addition, if the umpire judges that the catcher was malicious and was malicious in their action (causing injury to the runner), the catcher may be ejected. So the bottom line is that the runner and catcher are expected to avoid malicious contact.

No runner is allowed to be touched while running the bases. Only a bad umpire would enforce this rule on a high five. There is no rule that prohibits touching a runner, but there is a rule prohibiting physically assisting a runner.

Suppose only 1 runner crossed the plate, if the ball was thrown home and the catcher stepped on the plate the umpire would call him out (even if the runner is halfway back to the dugout), if multiple runners cross the plate, then and a ball is thrown home in play, the umpire will only make the "safe/out" call of the last runner to cross, or the play at the plate. In this case you would need to go through an official appeal process (ball to the pitcher on the mound, steps off the mound, throws home, catcher steps on the plate) --- The umpire will know what you are doing and if he saw it the same way, will call the runner that "missed home" out ---- If this would have been the 3rd out, his run and any runners that crossed home after him will not count

If the runner is attempting to touch home plate, I would not call the runner out for incidental contact by his teammates. However, if they would, for example, carry him off the field and he never attempts to touch home plate, I would call him out when he reaches the dugout area.

Yes they would be out, that's if its seen by an umpire. They don't do video for things like this so its a tough call.

the runner must avoid contact by sliding or stopping in Babe Ruth League even if he has the base path. The call will be strictly up to the umpire. If the catcher does not have the ball he could call interference, however if the catcher is making a play on the ball or has the ball the runner could be called safe or out depending on the sole discretion of the umpire determining if "contact was avoided by the base runner" --- I personally if i was the umpire would have called him out... leaping over a player is a very dangerous thing to do, when sliding is the alternative --- by jumping you take chance of the catcher getting hit in the head unprotected, or going to apply a tag and cause the base runner to go flying out of control --- RUNNER OUT!! if I was behind the plate

This would probably be the judgment of the umpire. If he felt the ball was under control as the fielder touched the base, the runner would be out. If he felt that the ball was not fully under control and hitting the base caused the ball to come out of the glove, the runner would be safe.

If a baserunner runs into a fielder who is in the base line, and who is not in the act of fielding a ball, the call would be OBSTRUCTION on the fielder. The baserunner would be awarded the base he was running to. The runner that has been obstructed will be awarded at least one base or as many bases that the umpire deems necessary to offset the obstruction. This is a judgment call for the umpire and cannot be protested.

When a batted ball is put into play there is always a force out (all they have to do is touch the base) at 1st base. To have a force out at any other base, all the bases behind it must be occupied.. i.e runner on 1st and 2nd, you would have a force out at 1st, 2nd, 3rd --- runners on 1st and 3rd.. you only have a force out at 2nd and 1st, there is no force at home since nobody was on 2nd -- Also on a caught fly ball if the runner doesnt "tag up" then it is always a force out by touching the base he was on when the ball was hit -- i.e runner on 2nd base, batter hits fly ball caught by 2nd basemen.. if the runner was running, the 2nd basemen can just touch 2nd with the ball and the runner would be out --- In a situation where the defense is doing an appeal, that is also a force out
