Frank Robinson -- 1966
Reggie Jackson -- 1973
Willie Stargell -- 1979 (co-winner of season MVP)
Mike Schmidt -- 1980
It is not unusual for a player who had a mediocre regular season to catch fire in the World Series and become the hero.
League Championships then the World Series
The Giants won the National League West title with a 92-70 regular-season record. They then defeated the Atlanta Braves in a National League Division Series three games to one. In the National League Championship Series, they won the National League pennat over the Philadelphia Phillies four games to two.
This website is a decent reference if you spend the time to actually look at the different players..... http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/lists/major-league-baseball-players-who-played-in-the-little-league-world-series-081812#tab=photo-title=Ed+Vosberg&photo=31269020 I havent looked into it alot but as the link says.....In 1973 (ED VOSBERG) pitched in the little league WS but lost to a team from Taiwan. Then in 1980 he went on to win the CWS playing for the Arizona Wildcats. Then in 1997 he won a WS title with the Marlins. JASON VARITEK is the only other to play in all three championship games but he lost both the little league title and CWS title. Then he obviously went on to break the curse and won a WS title with Boston in 2004 and '07.
The End
The former Italy and A.C. Milan captain has won seven champion league medals the highest by any player.
14
The Montreal Expos (Now the Washington Nationals) have never made it to the World Series. The Expos made it to the post season 1 time in 1981 when they won the National League East Division title.
I do not think any players from Ghana have won a champion league as yet.
in the 1997 world series, they beat the Indians; in 2003 they beat the Yankees
the 1907-08 season
Manchester United in the 1992-1993 season.
13 players have batted at least 400 while getting enough ABs to qualify for the batting title. Nap Lajoie has the highest average of all, going .426 in 544 AB in 1901.
