3) Third round choice Chris Hope was the starting free safety.
4) Fourth round choice Larry Foote was a starting linebacker.
5) Fifth round choice Verron Haynes was a reserve running back.
6) Sixth round choice WR Lee Mays was not on the 2005 roster after having played with the Steelers from 2002-2004.
7) The Steelers had two selections in the seventh round. Brett Keisel was a reserve defensive end and DB LeVar Glover was cut in the 2002 preseason and was the only one of the eight 2002 selections that did not play at least three seasons with the Steelers.
