The 42 medals awarded just for the Men and Women's Basketball, Handball, Soccer, Volleyball, Water Polo, and Field Hockey were received by over 500 athletes because every member of a team gets a medal. Every Athlete from the 2 athlete team for Beach Volleyball or the 12 Member Indoor Volleyball Team to the 16 member Field Hockey's Team has earned an event medal that is counted as a single medal.
