A golf driving range would probably be at least 300 yards long. Depending on how many bays it has it could be anything from 300-700 yards wide. You need to allow the players to hit shots to the left and to the right and vary their shots. There is no standard size, all driving ranges are different.
Modern driving ranges use 15 to 17 acres, compared to 10 to 12 acres a decade ago. Increased distance suggests driving ranges should be longer than 300 yards. For divot recovery, tees should be 45 to 60 yards deep. If tees are at both ends, total range length should exceed 400 yards.
There are hundreds and hundreds of types of golf balls. There are many manufacturers each with numerous types for various skill levels and price ranges. There are distance balls, spin balls and ladies balls etc.
The shortest driving distance is 117 miles.
There are many ways to locate a golf range in Houston. Either have a local cab driver take you to one of your choice, or for practical information, search through a Houston phone book or website for phone numbers on the listed golf ranges. Such places are: Marti Golf Center, Tee Time Golf Range, Super Golf Range, Cyprus Creek Golf Center and Academy, Melrose Golf Course, Borden Golf Range, etc.
That would depend on how many stations there are. The range that I use is about 250 yards deep (with a net) and about 200 yards wide (also with nets on both sides). Do the math.......... I have been to smaller ranges and I have been to larger ranges...........so again, it depends on how many stations there will be. This also does not include any putting surfaces or sand trap practice area, nor pro shop or food service area.
Through measured driving, changing gear at 2000rpm, you can manage 62km.
