Well, the most I can thiink of was back in the 05-06 NCAA season, when Michigan St. came back from a 0-38 deficit at halftime to win 41-38. At Northwestern no less.
football
Football didnt have any sport come from it however, Football came from a sport known as rugby.
Alabama has the longest Iron Bowl win streak, with 9 wins from 1973 to 1981, all of which came under the legendary Bear Bryant.
William Webb-Ellis invented rugby by picking up the ball and running with it.....whilst playing football, also known as soccer today.
The game of American football has been played since the mid-1800's. By the 1940s, flag football was all the rage on U.S. military bases as servicemen chose up sides and played against each other. Since America could not send football-battered soldiers into combat, tackling a ball carrier to stop him was replaced with the safer practice of grabbing a flag attached to his clothing. When the flag was taken, the player was stopped. -AJ
