The rules for scoring in international Basketball are the same as the NBA and the basic rules of international basketball are the same as those of the NBA. There are a few differences like there are four 10 minute quarters in international basketball where there are four 12 minute quarters in the NBA. A player is disqualified after picking up a fifth foul in international basketball where in the NBA a player is disqualified after the sixth foul. The current three point line in international basketball is 20 feet, 6 inches (6.25 meters) from the basket. This will be changed to 22 feet, 2 inches (6.75 meters) in October, 2010. The NBA three point line is 23 feet, 9 inches (7.23 meters) from the basket. The court is slightly smaller in international basketball, measuring 91 feet, 10.6 inches long by 49 feet, 2.6 inches (28 meters by 15 meters) wide where the NBA court is 94 feet long by 50 feet wide (28.65 meters by 15.24 meters).
