Not being at the correct temperature spoils paintballs. Most paintballs need to be about 15oC and below 30oC. If they go outside these temperatures for any length of time the will spoil. If they get to cold they get fragile and will normally break before they leave the gun and too hot and they swell up, still together and become bouncy. They will normally then get stuck in the elbow or stuck in the barrel.
