you check the head of the stick fast and quick to create a release of the ball and take it while it's in the air or ground. Be careful not to hit them though so no slashing. :)
in girls lacrosse you have to have your stick at eye leval and the ball has to be seen above the head
A lacrosse stick.
With a lacrosse stick and a lacrosse ball
Put the ball in your stick, make your stick eye level. & see if you can see some of the ball over the head of your lacrosse stick. Meaning, that the whole ball is not completely inside the whole stick. If it is inside the whole head of your stick, you need to tighten your netting.
It depends on what you mean by "tougher." Boys lacrosse is more aggressive and they are allowed to check the body as well as the stick. However, they wear a lot of padding and have a large pocket in the netting of their stick that makes it easier to keep the ball in. Only stick to stick checking is allowed in girls lacrosse, but the only protection they wear is a mouth guard and goggles and they do not have the large pocket advantage that boys do making it more difficult to maintain possession of the ball.
When you move your stick, go very fast "up & out" in the direction of one of your wings.
the goal of the game lacrosse is to throw the ball with the mini stick and try to get the ball into the net
When you first get a lacrosse stick,it will be very tight. But, if you look under the stick head, there will be 4 strings. Place a lacrosse ball in your stick head it should make the netting go down. Tighten the strings until the ball is sitting snugly in the stick head.
The two strings in the middle are the shooting strings and the ones on the outside help control the ball when cradling.
In lacrosse, the stick is EVERYTHING. You can only touch the ball with your stick. That's how you carry it. You shoot, cradle, pass, block, and catch with the stick.
You cradle the ball in lacrosse so if someone hits your stick it is less likely to fall out.
