U hav to be fast, hav good size and hands. U hav to be good at tackling because ur the last man to stop the person with the ball. U either play zone or man in coverage.
You have to be sure to take good angles on the ball. Don't worry about going for the big hit- as the last line of defense you often take on running backs and receievers who get to the second level, and you have to make the safe tackle because offensive players have the advantage in the open field.
