You can get hurt but not once you get signed up
In cheerleading you can always get hurt considering all you do. It is a dangerous sport period. As you get older and get into more difficult stunts and routines, the risk of getting hurt increases. This is why you need a good coach that knows what their doing!
CHEERLEADING ALL THE WAY!

yes
It is possible that you could be injured in cheerleading because of there not being mats. There should always be mats or a springboard floor in cheerleading, for the athletes to practice on. If at your gym there are not, I suggest you remove your daughter from the squad immediately
A contact sport is by definition, a sport where people are intended to run into eachother, such as football. But, in cheerleading there is a risk of running into people. Cheerleading also do a alot of physcial contact during stunting.
Usually you see short people play cheerleading but if your tall and you really love cheerleading go for it but I'm tall and I stick with volleyball
some people that don't like cheerleading think that its not a sport and that if guys do it then they are gay. but if people like cheer then they think that it is a sport
Cheerleading is not needed, neither is football or any other sport. People do sports for pleasure and entertainment.
No cheerleading is a sport
