How did Lenins communism in russia differ from tradional ideas of communism?

Lenin believed in the idea of socialism in one country whereas Marx believed in a worldwide revolution. Lenin also believed that revolution would not happen by itself and that it needed a group of revolutionary elite to lead it. Marx believed that all the proletariat would eventually rise and revolt.

∙ 11y agoLenin's ideas and conceptions did not differ at all compared with the ideas of Marx and Engels, it is quite simply that the RSFSR never even saw socialism as meant by Marx and Engels due to it's being ravaged by civil war, invasion, political and economic isolation from the rest of the world and immense poverty. No one could start off on the road to communism in a situation such as that.
