Yes. There were several companies who were experimenting with these materials in the 1980s, and I'm sure there have been more since. The material, as a general rule, is too stiff as to be brittle, so it needs to be combined with something with more give to work.
There are boards using carbon fiber plies with wood plies, and the carbon fiber offers weight reduction and stiff while the wood maintains the feel that skateboarders demand.
