A goal kick does not have to cross the halfway line. However, it must completely exit the Penalty Area while in the field of play in order for the ball to be back in play.
If the ball cross the line of the goal, it's a goal kick.
A goal kick is the restart when the ball exits the field across the goal line, last touched by an attacker, and not between the goal posts and under the cross bar (i.e. a goal was not scored).
There are five ways this could go. It all depends on where the ball exited the field. If the ball exits across his goal line, below the cross bar, and between the goal posts, then it is a goal for your team and his team restarts with a kick-off. If the ball exits across his goal line, and not in the goal, then it's a corner kick for your team. If the ball exits across the touch line, then it's a throw in for your team. If the ball exits across your goal line, below the cross bar, and between the goal posts, then it is a goal for his team and your team restarts with a kick-off. If the ball exits across your goal line, and not in the goal, then it's a goal kick for your team.
The offensive team gets a free kick
If the ball crosses the goal line and was last touched by a defensive player then there are two possible restarts. 1. If it crossed between the goal posts and under the cross bar, then a goal is awarded and the restart is a kick-off for the defense. 2. If it crossed outside the goal posts or over the cross bar, then the restart is a corner kick for the attackers.
A goal kick is awarded to the defending team whenever the ball completely exits the field across the goal line, not between the goal posts and under the cross bar, and was last touched by an attacking player.
An indirect free kick can be given on the center line if that is where the infraction occurred.
If the crosses the goal line (but not into the goal), and last touched an offensive player; it is a goal kick. It is a corner kick if it was last touched by a defending player.
A corner kick is awarded when the ball goal out of play over the goal line, a goal is not scored, and the ball was last touched by a member of the team defending the goal which sits on that goal line.
There is no such thing as a "line-kick" in soccer. However, a goal may be scored directly from any kick except for an indirect free kick. In that case, the kick may only score after the ball touches another player after the kick and before entering the goal.
A goal can be scored from anywhere on the pitch, even an opposing team's goal kick can count as a goal if it goes in. There are a few scenarios where a goal cannot be allowed - if a ball goes in from a throw-in without touching a player it cannot stand as a goal. If a goal is scored from an indirect free kick without being taken as such, it does not count. To be counted as a goal, the entire ball needs to cross the goal line, in between the two posts and underneath the crossbar.
A goal in soccer is scored when a player kicks the ball into the net. Here the entire ball must cross the goal line, , even if the goalkeeper both legs cross the line , the goal will not be given until the ball also crosses the line.
