When hitting a softball you can hear the tink off of the bat. When you hit a baseball you hear kind of a slap and therefore when you hit a baseball goes farther.
Softball bats are designed to hit softballs. Hitting a baseball with a softball bat may damage the bat. Either hit a softball or get a baseball bat if you do not want to risk damaging your bat.
composite
an aluminum bat is harder so it hits farther
a composite bat hits farther because the in side is not hollow
You can hit farther with a metal bat.
completely! a softball is less hard than a baseball but a baseball bat will not harm the softball in any way
Generally, yes - or at lest to a greater extent than it does in baseball. Physically, the harder you hit the ball (mostly speed of the bat) the farther it will travel. In softball, the speed of the incoming ball really doesn't vary all that much between fast pich and slow pitch. In baseball, the speed of the incoming ball - if it's a fast ball especially - has a great bearing on how far the ball will travel. So if the bat speed is good in either sport, in softball the hit will travel farther. In baseball, with the right pitch, the hit will travel much farther.
Depends on the speed of the pitch and the hitter. In fastpitch softball metal would hit farther, especially with a composite bat.
Baseball
It depends on how hard you hit it.
