Yes if you have the right technique and are able to control yourself then you can possibly throw a lot farther because you move faster through the circle and that momentum will help you
No because you lose a lot more control. At first you will do worse I guarantee. But after training with it, you should know how it feels and it should help. Also if you have bad technique, this will just worsen it even more
My advice: Get comfortable doing your technique until perfection without throwing shoes. After you get it down, train with them, and get comfortable, and see how you do.
