No... but he did pass for 5 in the second quarter. Until that time no one had thrown more than 4 in an entire game. His receiver caught more yards than any other up until that time as well as his rookie running back (who never started a game until this super bowl) and ran for more than 200 yards... breaking Marcus Allens record!

Through Super Bowl XLIII, Doug Williams of the Washington Redskins is the only one. He completed 18 of 29 passes for a then Super Bowl record 340 yards which included an 80 yard pass to Ricky Sanders. He also tied the then Super Bowl record with four touchdown passes as the Redskins went on to win Superbowl XXII in January 1988, with Williams deservedly picking up the MVP.
Ricky Sanders. Williams and Sanders hooked up on an 80 yard TD pass in the 2nd quarter of Super Bowl XXII. Williams then threw TD passes to Gary Clark, Sanders again, and Clint Didier, all in the 2nd quarter.
