Definitely NOT.
That would be none, as Karate is not an Olympic sport. Taekwondo is in the Olympics.
Yes, there are many medals that can be won at competitions in kumite (fighting) and kata. There are usually medals for each category of age and belt groups.
First of all the thing that we call "sport karate" is NOT karate at all. Because all they do there is wear those gloves and punch each other in order to win medals. They destroy the whole philosophy that karate has. They turn a martial art into a useless sport.
Karate is not an Olympic sport. However, Tai Kwon Do is an Olympic sport and there have been a number of gold medals for the United States in this sport.

> Judo has always given two bronze medals (Since it became an "official" sport in 1972) > Taekwondo (karate), Freestyle wrestling, and Greco Roman wrestling began giving two bronze medals in Beijing in 2008 > Boxing started giving two bronze medals in 1952
Two hours a week is certainly going to help, but there are other factors to consider. With a good diet and supplemental exercise, you should be able to drop 1 to 2 pounds a week fairly easily. I do karate 2 or 3 times a week (1 and a half to two hours) and also do an orbital 60 minutes a week three times a week. I've been dropping about a pound and a half a week since the start of the year.
It depends on the dojo. Most dojo teach for 1-2 hours daily. Some teach karate on alternate days. Some may even practice once or twice a week.
It depends if your sparring in a competition or practicing. if you're not in competition and your just doing it in your training then you don't win anything. If you're in a competition you can win medals and sometimes maybe trophies.
