As a qualified sports first aider I would say no. You should wash it first, then apply some betadine or similar then leave it open to dry out and maybe apply an antiseptic cream nightly. If you want to cover it - I would use a non-adherent dressing. You can buy dressings that 'breathe' and are specifically for burns. Bear in mind, however, that this is just my opinion and I am not a medical professional.
Grass
Boiling water can be used to kill grass in your yard by pouring it directly onto the grass you want to eliminate. The hot water will scald the grass and its roots, effectively killing it. Be careful when handling boiling water to avoid burns and only use this method in areas where you want to completely remove the grass, as it will kill any plant it comes into contact with.

However, grass is also used in suburban lawns, golf courses, sport fields and city parks, which make it more of an aesthetic factor than an agricultural crop.
