Well, not really. There have been many players to take steroids to help them build muscle, and improve their performance, but it is not allowed. You are not allowed to take steroids into sports, but many people do. For example, Alex Rodriguez "A-Rod", the 3rd basemen for the New York Yankees took steroids in 2009. He confessed that he took steroids, so they allowed him to stay in MLB. Although, if they were to catch him red-handed, he most likely would have been taken off of the NYY, and sent home. To answer your question, you are not allowed to take drugs to improve performance in sports, but many people/players do.
