Yes.
No but Pal Grotnes could be.
I can only remember Olaf Kolzig , the Washington goalie in the late '90s early 2k's that was born in South Africa but grew in Germany
The San Jose Sharks sented 8 of its players to the 2010 Olympic games, the most for any NHL team.
30 teams with 23 active players each. 30 * 23 = 690 players. This doesn't include any players on IR though. Other players can be called up to replace them and the IR players don't count towards the 23 man roster limit. Teams are only allowed to play 20 players in any game. The normal breakdown is 12 forwards (4 lines), 6 defensemen (3 pairings) and 2 goaltenders. The other 3 players on their roster are "scratches" and are not allowed to participate in that game.
Not that I've heard. Hockey is rarely played in Australia.
Yes. NHL 2009 has the AHL in it's game.
The Barrie Colts are a Major Junior (CHL) team and, as such, they do not have any affiliation with a particular NHL team the way an AHL (top level minor league, similar to AAA in baseball) team would have. Each year they will probably have players who have been drafted by several different NHL teams as well as many who are not draft eligible yet.

The best thing to do if you can't find any information the divulges the amount the players make.I can only give you a suggestion,and/or a partial answer.Firstly, the obvious. If you don't know anyone playing in the league,I'm sure you know someone who does.People LOVE to say they know sports figure,or people who have some sort of grip on others whether it be through fame, infamy, rumours or otherwise. What I'm trying to say is ASK SOMEONE WHO KNOWS. I had the same question when i was at the MassMutual center in springfield, mass, where the springfield falcons play. I asked the question to one of the top managers there and he said that the average player salerie who did not have a NHL contract was about $40,000. Ofcourse if a player had an NHL contract, they would have a greater salerie
