Better for just that, dual sport purposes. Woods, trail racing or just plain trail riding for fun it a dual sport bike woud probably suit most riders better, especially when it came to pavement or gravel roads.
As for competition in the Motocross or supercross industry, definitely not. Race bikes are designed and manufactured strictly for that purpose making them highly competitive. Even when I raced (strictly ametuer) a few times I saw riders competing on dual sport bikes and never did I see one win a closed course race. Not saying that rc or stewart couldn't make one go fast but there is a reason for both style of motorcycles
no there not dirt bike is better
whats better dirt bikes or race cars
They both are very good bikes, but if i had to choose i would buy a Kawasaki.
well its the worlds most dangerous sport
yes, dirt bikes are motorized
There are no laws governing dirt bikes, they are made to be ridden offroad. If you do put a dual sport kit on a dirt bike and get a tag, then all laws pertaining to street bikes apply to you. You might check this link: http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/msb/
Well that depends on which one you like better now doesn't it?
NO, not when it is stockYes, when you get lisense and lights and street tires.
dirt bikes
Everybody that races dirt bikes "started" racing dirt bikes at some point.
dirt bikes in the past had less gears and power then dirt bikes have today
A performance bike is more like a regular bicycle although it is a rather good one. A Dirt bike is a motorcycle than can be used on off road terrain.
