I don't know this for a fact but I do believe that they start at 30in. and go up by 3in. Yet, I don't know how high for what grade or division or anything so yeah. :/ I don't set up the hurdles I just jump them. XD

Because you RUN over the hurdles, you do not jump. It's a fluid motion, through which you are running before and afterwards. Vertical height gained is usually very minimal - several inches or so with men, no height at all for women - so no one actually jumps over the hurdles.
