The fastest I have ever heard of was when I ran 00:07:45 in Texas. I was the fastest of my grade and am now 12 still improving. My 3rd cousin was in the Olympics for running. :D Smug me.
I ran a 00:07:10 - 00:06:00 somewhere in between the other day age 12. Like I said, not sure, check Google.
Have a nice day champions. Remember, always, it doesn't matter if you win or loose it just matters if you try. Never give up, find in yourself a true path and meaning. I always say that to my friends that try to keep up with me, and they improve with each saying. Now go out and run.

It Doesnt Matter How Old You Are If You Want To Run A Mile, Run A Mile! But... There Is Actually No Actual Average Time For Any Age As It Depends On What Size, What Shape And What Build You Actually Are!
i agree with the last answer! most schools don't offer track to kids when they're that young, so most kids that age don't ever run the mile. without any previous running experience the one time we ran it in 5th grade the girls' times ranged from ~7:20-12:00. so yeah, i wish i could give you a more accurate answer but there really aren't average times for that age
It all depends on how in shape you are. When I was that age I was about 10 minutes. Some of the other ladies in my class were 7 or 8 minutes. I'd say around 9 minutes, but as long as you keep getting better through practice, you're ok no matter what you start with!
15 minutes
Well I am a 12 year old girl and I can run it in 5-6 minutes(but I've been running long distance for a long time) so you should run it in about 8 minutes! A boy one a mile sprint in London 4:45
