3)He underestimated the Bolshevik threat. By moving against them in october this gave them an excuse for seizing power in the name of the Soviet.

Kerensky said that Russia should stay in war. His second fatal mistake was he didn't offer land to the peasants as the Bolsheviks did which gained them immediate popularity.
