Air resistance is extremely important in speedskating. A race can be decided on one one-hundredths of a second, so being as aerodynamic as possible is very important to reduce drag and skate faster.

Well, this is not a perfect world and when playing soccer and kick the ball straight to the goalie or a teammate I doubt it will go straight. That is because of air resistance formed between the ball and air around it.

The strength of the air resistance depend on both how high you kick the ball, the mass of the ball, and the speed of the ball.

The more air resistance you have, the harder it is to move. So if you want to go as fast and as far as possible while using the least amount of energy... You mise well reduce your wind resistance.

Because if u have alot of air resistance it will slow u down i think so if u are really low and close to the ground there is less air resistance and u will go faster i think

Without speed, you really couldn't go. Speed gives momentum, and momentum is what allows you to glide against the surface without gravity pulling you down and off the surface.

No it currently does not have a bobsledding team.

Why it is important for satellites be outside the earth's atmosphere?

Air resistance. if in air they would slow down and fall.

What is importance of air resistance?

Air resistance, also known as drag, is important because it opposes the motion of objects moving through the air. This force can affect the speed and stability of a moving object, making it crucial for designing efficient vehicles and structures. Understanding and minimizing air resistance is important in fields such as aerospace, automotive engineering, and sports science.

Where was bobsledding?

Bobsledding originated in Switzerland in 1890 and became an Olympic event in 1924. Women's bobsledding became an Olympic event in 2002.

What force slows objects moving through the air?

Air resistance

Why is air resistance important?

Air resistance is important because it opposes the motion of objects moving through the air, causing them to slow down. It affects the speed and trajectory of projectiles, vehicles, and living organisms such as birds and insects. Understanding and accounting for air resistance is crucial for designing efficient vehicles, predicting flight patterns, and ensuring accurate scientific measurements.

How does air resistance affect the distance a projectile can fly?

Air resistance creates drag on a projectile as it moves through the air, which reduces its speed and range. The greater the air resistance, the more it will slow down the projectile and limit its distance. This is why aerodynamic design is important for improving the range of projectiles like bullets or rockets.

What year did women's bobsledding become an official event?

Women's bobsledding became an official event in 2002. The men's bobsledding event was started officially in the 1932 Olympics.

How can air Resistance be useful?

Air resistance can be useful in activities such as skydiving and parachuting, helping to slow down the fall of an object and reduce its speed. It is also important in designing objects like cars and airplanes, where air resistance can be used to control speed and stability. Additionally, air resistance can be harnessed in sports such as cycling and skiing to create drag and improve performance.

What is air resistance and what are the two factors that air resistance depends on?

Air resistance is the force that opposes the motion of an object through the air. It depends on the speed of the object and its surface area exposed to the air.

Why is air resistance a nuisance?

Air resistance creates drag on objects moving through the air, making it harder for them to maintain their speed and increasing the amount of energy needed to overcome it. This can result in reduced efficiency and speed in vehicles and other moving objects, making air resistance a nuisance in practical applications where minimizing drag is important.
