Aaron Ness is a graduate of Roseau High School, a small school in northwestern Minnesota known for its hockey program. Ness graduated high school one year early in 2008 and now attends the University of Minnesota and plays defense for the Gopher hockey team.
In his senior season, Ness accumulated 28 goals, 44 assists for 72 points in 31 games for Roseau and led them to a 4th place finish in the Minnesota State Tournament with a 29-2 record. Ness was also awarded the prestigeous "Mr. Hockey" award in 2008, which is given to the state's top high school hockey player.
