february for best conditions but it is often busy, it is usually good until Easter time, if you go in December it won't be busy but there is a large chance that a lot of the runs and lifts won't be open yet because of needs for repairs and pisting, if you go to a resort with a small choice of ski area this may be a problem,xx hop this helps!!

The main skiing area in France is the Alps. But there are also ski areas in other French mountain ranges, the Pyrenees, the Massif Central, the Jura (nordic skiing in particular) and the Vosges.

January - March (in most of Europe as well)

Avoid:

Christmas (long ques and high prices)

Easter holidays (same reasons)

school holidays (same again)

the starts and ends of the season (cheap, but unpredictable snow cover)

Probably from late October to March, but it's very hard to predict the weather.

In the winter time! Go in mid-January when it is coldest. Or in February if you don't want it to cold.
