They're giving you a chance to sell yourself; take it! Think of things about you and your skills, interests, and experiences that relate to the company, the job you're applying for, or the position you hope to advance to. (These would be points you've not already referenced elsewhere in your application.) And you can even just make known your enthusiasm for the job. State these points clearly and simply. Some examples: * I've been riding Burton boards for 5 years now. * My artwork won the Best New Artist award last year. * I also used to hand-build my own surf boards. * My grades were tops in wood shop and metalworking. * I really want to learn everything about building Burton boards. * I believe in Burton products and would be proud to help market them. * I've explored other manufacturers, but Burton is the company I really want to work for. I've long admired your products, and I've heard that Burton brings out the best in their employees. Also it is very helpful if you can make a point about something you've learned about what the company values in their employees, or a special need they might have: * Traveling for the job will be no problem. * I also do speak fluent German. * My last employer can vouch for how punctual I am. * I've never had an on-work injury; I take safety on the job seriously.
