There are many amazing snowboarders out there such as Shaun White, Eddie Wall, Tara Dakides and Travis Rice. I dont think there is such thing as the best snowboarder in the world because there are so many good ones emerging.

dude you bite...check out romain de marchi and nicholas muller. easy answer!

...none seem to attempt to answer the question. Well I'm far from a pro snowboarder, but I would guess the keys to becoming a professional snowboarder are #1 practicing as much as possible, which might mean Snowboarding during the summer months (there is a snowy mountain somewhere on Earth every day of the year), and #2 win contests/races, the bigger the better. From there, develop an image to get you sponsored (be sure to use the word "stoked" a lot)...grow long hair?

By definition, get paid. If you get paid, you are no longer an amature.

I am almost a pro. But how do you get people to reconize you?

You can train for snowboarding by running and making sure you are in great physical shape. Also by Skateboarding skimboarding and wake boarding you can cross train when snowboarding is out of season. Also getting a balance board or indo board helps.

you dont really need an education to be a pro snowboarder, you mainly need to be a risk taker, a competitive human being and have massive balls.

you can scope out local snowboard shops that are looking to sponsor you, but you have to be really good cause they dont want to represent someone who sucks. also look for rising snowboard companys, bindings, boots, outerwear, clothing, goggles, etc.

mainly tee-shirt companies are a safe place to start or even goggle companies are a hot pick.

I wouldn't say training but there are some things you need to know if you wanna be good at snowboarding. First of all you are gonna wanna be able to "snow plow" which is when the boards sides ways and you lean up on your heels to slow down. Second would be able to go down the hill (no matter how small) without falling. Third would be carving if you want to be "fancy" which is where you "steer" your way down by using one for for a "placement foot" and the other to "direct". It helps you turn nicely and allows you to go down big hill with ease without flying down them if you don't want to. Other than that you could practice going off jumps, rails, or boxes. As well as other fun things you can do while snowboarding. But get comfortable with "snow plowing" and being able to go down the hill first before you start experimenting with carving or tricks/jumps.

There really isn't much of an education behind snowboarding and skateboarding. All you really have to do is just skate or board and be really good at it.
