How much is the Iditarod?

That's what I'm tryin' to figure out. So far I know total to top 30 teams is $875,000.

Aproximately last year: winner 70k+Dodge truck, 11th ~30K, 30th ~10k, I think. After 30th, each finisher gets $1049.00.

ACTUALLY! it was only $510,000 that was awarded to the top 30 winners! oh! and if Christian Beadles is out there, i just wanted to say, will marry me?

The entry fee for 2009 is $4000.00 (going up to $5000.00 in 2010)

The average cost per year to maintain a team and equipment is $35,000 plus dogs
