well you need enough hp to get the skier out of the water so between 25 and up is good. i ski behind a boat with 270 and its plenty

∙ 11y agoYou'll want 50 to 60 hp. Less than this it's harder to get out of the water. You can ski with a smaller engine such as a 40 hp but like I said it's a lot harder.
