Back flip=stay low and once hit jump, pull back with legs and this will carry your body...don't swing your legs over your head.

Go to Gunstock Mountain in New Hampshire, only 1 1/2 hrs from Boston. They have this really big air bag where you can practice flips and jumps with super soft landings. It's the kind those Hollywood stunt actors use falling from 10 story buildings.
