The center is a player that takes the face off. I play on the squirts and when we play the center is the only player that chases the puck. The other players play their positions.

^^^^ this person knows nothing...the center is not the only one who chases the puck.

A center *mid* plays defense and offense. He/She can score and defend but his/her main job is to keep the ball form reaching the circle. He/She also needs to get the ball to the forwards/strikers/wings/offense.

well basically there isn't really a center there are 2 strikers but sometimes 3 strikers and they start with the ball!
