A Figure Skating word that starts wih S is Synchro. Synchro is a group of skaters doing the same thing at the same time. They also enter competitions. Salchow. (pronounced sow-cow or sal-cow) A jump named for the inventor. Spin, sit spin. Spiral. Another name for arabesque. A move where the skater glides across the ice on one foot while the free leg is extended. The free leg should be waist level or higher. This move may be performed forward or backwards and there are many variations.
